Sasshi.ai is a Chrome extension for WhatsApp Web that helps you understand your conversations better. It provides emotional subtext analysis, reply suggestions that match your communication style, relationship insights, personality and compatibility reads, and venue discovery for planning outings.
When you use Sasshi.ai, the following data is accessed:
Message content: Text from your currently open WhatsApp Web conversation is read by the extension to provide analysis, reply suggestions, and insights. Sasshi only reads conversations you actively open — it does not scan or access messages in the background.
User preferences: Your settings such as relationship tags, communication style, intent selections, language preference, MBTI type, and zodiac sign are stored locally in your browser.
Interaction data: Anonymous usage signals such as which reply suggestions you select are tracked locally to improve the accuracy of future suggestions. This data never leaves your browser.
Voice messages: If you enable voice transcription, voice message audio is processed through OpenAI Whisper API for text conversion. Audio is not stored by Sasshi.
Location: If you use the Explore feature, your approximate location is used to find relevant nearby venues. Location data is not stored.
Message content is sent to AI services for analysis via secure HTTPS connections. Depending on your configuration, requests may be routed through a pass-through proxy server (api.sasshi.ai) which forwards requests without storing any data. The proxy exists solely to handle connection routing and does not log, store, or retain any message content.
All analysis results, conversation history, relationship insights, personality profiles, preferences, and cached data are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No conversation data is stored on any external server. No user accounts or personal information are required to use the extension.
Message content is processed by the following third-party AI services:
Anthropic (Claude API): Conversation analysis, emotional subtext detection, reply generation, personality analysis, and relationship insights.
OpenAI (Whisper API): Voice message transcription (optional, only when enabled by the user).
Perplexity API: Venue search and recommendations for the Explore feature.
xAI (Grok API): Alternative reply generation for specific communication styles.
These services process data in transit according to their respective privacy policies. Sasshi.ai does not control how these third-party services handle data beyond what is outlined in their own policies.
We do not store any conversation data on our servers.
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's core functionality.
We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
We do not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
We do not access your browsing history, other tabs, or any websites beyond WhatsApp Web and the AI API endpoints listed above.
Sasshi.ai reads messages from both you and your conversation partners to provide analysis. Your conversation partners have not directly consented to this analysis. All analysis is performed in real time and stored only in your local browser. No data about your conversation partners is transmitted to Sasshi.ai servers or shared with any party other than the AI services listed above for the purpose of generating analysis.
Users authenticate with a one-time invite code for access control during the beta period. Invite codes are not linked to personal identity.
All locally stored data is automatically deleted when the extension is uninstalled. You can also clear all stored data at any time from the extension's settings menu. There is no server-side data to delete as we do not store any data externally.
Sasshi.ai is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
